Joe represents corporations in commercial and securities litigation. Joe brings a business background to his legal work and with each representation he aims to develop a legal strategy that meets the business needs of his clients. In addition to his litigation practice, Joe works with his clients on risk management and litigation avoidance, working closely with clients’ business teams to identify, mitigate, and avoid legal risk before litigation even occurs. Joe has handled state and federal complex commercial litigation and has litigated cases under Pennsylvania and New Jersey state laws, the federal securities laws, and the Fair Labor Standards Act, among others.

Practice Areas and Experience
Represents the Chester Water Authority in a series of related disputes against the City of Chester and Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc. Obtained a preliminary injunction blocking the City of Chester from attempting to sell the CWA to Aqua. Joe was first-chair at the preliminary injunction hearing, during which he questioned seven witnesses during the day-long hearing.
Member of multi-firm team representing proposed national classes of child sex trafficking victims against world’s two largest online pornography websites in connection with claims for statutory damages and injunctive relief under Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (“TVPRA”) and related federal statutes.
Joe enjoys distance running and has completed eight marathons. He also enjoys spending summer weekends at the shore with his wife and daughter, where their favorite activity is to go crabbing on the bay.
