Discovery Obligations, Social Media and the Modern Pitfalls of Criminal Litigation

 

Conrad O'Brien is pleased to be hosting "When Bad Things Happen to Good Lawyers: Discovery Obligations, Social Media and the Modern Pitfalls of Criminal Litigation", a CLE program sponsored by The Philadelphia Young Lawyers Division of the ABA White Collar Crime Committee on Wednesday, June 10th in our offices. Panelists: Lindwood Wright, Assistant U.S. Attorney, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Judson Aaron, Shareholder, Conrad O'Brien.

 

This program focuses on discovery obligations in criminal cases, and the thorny issues that such obligations can raise for criminal prosecutors and defense attorneys. The program also addresses the pitfalls of an attorney’s use of social media in grand jury investigations and criminal cases. The presentation includes a series of video clips about real cases in which inattention to legal and ethical obligations has had serious consequences.
