Conrad O’Brien attorney Simran Dhillon was selected to participate in the Philadelphia Bar Foundation’s Board Observer Program for 2019. Simran will have the opportunity to serve on and observe the Board of Directors of Bala House Montessouri, a Montessori school for preschool and kindergarten students in Lower Merion. Founded in 1969, Bala House Montessori is a unique, vibrant, and diverse community that cultivates a caring and nurturing learning environment where the students are respected, the curriculum is challenging, and classrooms are welcoming and peaceful.
The Board Observer Program is an award-winning program that serves a unique role for young lawyers and local non-profit organizations. The program gives young lawyers the opportunity to volunteer and serve on a non-profit board of directors. They learn about local non-profits, gain leadership skills, and strengthen their professional networks. Participating non-profits benefit from the energy and new ideas of these young lawyers. The Board Observer Program is a partnership between the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, the Delivery of Legal Services Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association (DLSC), and the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association (YLD). Attorneys must apply and the program looks for applicants with a demonstrated interest in community service and/or pro bono work.
