Conrad O’Brien is pleased to announce that Robin Weiss has been promoted to partner, effective July 1, 2022.
Robin’s practice primarily involves commercial and toxic tort litigation, professional and product liability matters, and representation of court-appointed receivers and monitors in fiduciary litigation, federal enforcement actions and clawback litigation. She has also worked on numerous appeals to the Pennsylvania Superior Court, the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Since joining Conrad O’Brien, Robin has quickly become a key member of the firm on many complex cases. She is heavily involved in smoking and health related litigation and asbestos matters. She also handles crucial aspects of a federal equity receivership, where the firm serves as the court-appointed receiver and receiver’s counsel in an SEC enforcement action brought against an operator of a fraudulent investment scheme and various business entities over which she exercised control. Our role includes marshaling, pursuing and preserving Receivership Assets for the benefit of defrauded investors and creditors, including through the pursuit of affirmative litigation involving complex legal and factual issues.
Robin has been listed on the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars” list since 2015. She has spoken extensively on civil litigation and medical malpractice issues. Robin earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law school, where she served as the executive editor of the Journal of Business Law and was a recipient of the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award. She earned her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated cum laude.
