Patricia M. Hamill, Partner at Conrad O’Brien, Speaks at CAPE Institute Course on Title IX and College Sexual Assault Matters

Conrad O’Brien is pleased to announce that Patricia M. Hamill, Partner at Conrad O’Brien and co-chair of Conrad O’Brien’s Complex Commercial Litigation Practice Group, has spoken at a CAPE Institute sponsored continuing legal education course on Title IX and College Sexual Assault matters.  Ms. Hamill was joined by William R. Sneed (College Coach Gurus), Samantha Harris, Esquire (Foundation for Individual Rights in Education), Kevin Raphael, Esquire (Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti LLP) in presenting the course, which was titled, “Yes Means Yes, The Latest on Title IX and Sexual Assault – No Means No, The Perils of Sexting Over & Under 18.”  The course was held on Thursday, December 18th in Valley Forge/Oaks, Pennsylvania. 


Patricia is co-chair of Conrad O’Brien’s Complex Commercial Litigation Group where she represents corporate clients, including Fortune 500 companies and corporate officers in a wide range of litigation in industries including technology, securities, and  insurance.  In addition to her commercial litigation practice, Ms. Hamill represents college students accused of sexual misconduct both in university disciplinary proceedings as well as in breach of contract and Title IX litigation against their colleges and universities in the wake of student disciplinary hearings, a burgeoning area of practice in light of Department of Education investigations.  Patricia has spent nearly 30 years appearing in federal and state courts throughout the country successfully representing her clients.  While Patricia has deep expertise in the civil arena, she also represents, counsels and conducts internal investigations for clients who face potential criminal liability from federal and state grand jury investigations into False Claims, bribes, kickbacks, identity theft, and other frauds, as well as SEC and FINRA investigations involving 10(b)-5 claims, insider trading or breaches of duty.
