In February 2018, all attorneys, paralegals and business management staff at Conrad O’Brien earned a Yellow Belt Certification in Legal Lean Sigma® and Project Management from the Legal Lean Sigma Institute. This in-depth workshop focused on the “Three P’s”: process improvement, project management, and pricing. Yellow Belt certification means that the Conrad O’Brien team was trained in key process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma and the stages of Project Management, which is implementing procedures and protocols to achieve defined goals.
Our firm is committed to continuous improvement. This means we are constantly learning about what we are doing well and where we can do better, starting with understanding what is ‘value’ in the eyes of our clients. At Conrad O’Brien we have litigation teams that embrace flexibility, collaboration, and creative problem-solving at every step. From the skills learned during our Yellow Belt Certification, we are able to employ process improvement and project management to deliver better client outcomes, improved client satisfaction, improved efficiency and speed, reduced errors and rework, and financial benefits to our clients. We want to work for and together with our clients to provide excellent responsiveness coupled with an even better client experience.
During the intensive two-day training, our firm focused on legal and business processes, implementing tools and developing skills to refine the way we do and deliver our work. We learned about methodologies that give us different ways to determine how to continue to consistently provide excellent quality of work and service while systematically implementing the Three Ps in ways that deliver greater value to our clients and our firm. We discussed ways to improve workflow and communication among the firm and practice groups in order to improve the way we do and deliver work for our clients.
