Conrad O’Brien expands Title IX and Campus Discipline practice group with Two Experienced Attorney Hires, Lindsay McDonald and Lynn Gilbert

Conrad O’Brien is pleased to announce that Lindsay McDonald and Lynn Gilbert have joined the firm’s active Title IX and Campus Discipline practice. Lindsay McDonald (Of Counsel) and Lynn Gilbert (Associate) will both work in the Title IX practice group, representing students and faculty members throughout the country who are facing a campus investigation and disciplinary proceeding arising from alleged Title IX or conduct code violations in higher education. To date, the practice has represented more than 200 students and faculty members in cases involving more than 100 colleges and universities nationwide.

 

Patricia Hamill, Chair of the Title IX and Campus Discipline practice, remarked, “We are excited to expand the Title IX practice and look forward to being able to extend our high level of client service to a broader base of students and faculty members. Lindsay and Lynn will bring the experience, skill, and holistic approach that Conrad O’Brien is known for.”

 

Both Lindsay and Lynn bring years of related experience to Conrad O’Brien. Lindsay McDonald worked previously as a partner in a private criminal defense practice and before that, as a prosecutor handling felony criminal trials. She has prosecuted and defended hundreds of misdemeanors and felony criminal trials, including over 75 jury trials. Her extensive trial and negotiation experience, coupled with an empathic understanding of individual circumstances, will prove valuable to the firm’s Title IX practice. Lindsay earned her law degree from Widener University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from LaSalle University.

 

Lynn Gilbert joins Conrad O’Brien from another law firm where she specialized in representing students in Title IX disciplinary matters. She has extensive experience in all aspects of Title IX and code of conduct cases, from preparing clients for interviews, analyzing an investigative record, and attending and participating in hearings. Lynn earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and her undergraduate degree from Duke University.
