Conrad O'Brien recently obtained summary judgment in Texas state court, in a lawsuit arising out of the federal government's denial of payment under a multimillion dollar contract allegedly procured through competitive bidding violations. Our client, a Fortune 100 company, was one of a number of contractors on the project and was sued by other contractors who claimed they were denied payment due to wrongdoing by our client. We filed a motion for summary judgment on a statute of limitations grounds. After oral argument on May 5, 2014, the court took the rare step of granting the motion from the bench.
