Conrad O'Brien is pleased to announce that Aya M. Salem, Associate of the Firm, served as a panelist on a “Women in the Profession” roundtable event, held in conjunction with The Legal Intelligencer. The roundtable discussion covered issues regarding the recruitment and retention of female lawyers, gender equality issues and challenges facing women at law firms. Excerpts from the roundtable will be featured in a future supplement of The Legal Intelligencer, scheduled to be published in April 2014.
Aya works on a variety of matters at Conrad O’Brien, including legal malpractice defense, securities litigation, white collar crime, and contractual disputes.
Aya is on the Board of Directors of Misr Elkheir Foundation - USA, a non-profit organization that raises money for social and charitable programs in Egypt.
Aya earned her law degree from Rutgers School of Law (J.D., 2010), where she served as Executive Editor of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University (B.A., 2006).
